Eleven installs at the median, and yes, mostly. Across all 6,202 cloud apps on the Atlassian Marketplace the median app has 11 installs and 1,128 have none at all. 4,755 apps, 76.7 percent, are not built on Connect, which on cloud means Forge. Only 341 apps, 5.5 percent, have passed a thousand installs. Measured September 2026 across the full catalogue.

1,128 cloud apps, 18.2 percent, have never been installed. Half the marketplace is under eleven installs. The apps that pricing surveys talk about are the top few hundred; this is what the other five and a half thousand look like.

Three cloud apps in four are now off Connect. The Connect apps are the ones with more installs, which is what you would expect from the older platform rather than a verdict on either.

62.8 percent of Atlassian cloud apps are billed by the marketplace itself. That is the highest share of any marketplace measured here: Salesforce is 53.5 percent, Slack collects nothing, Zoom sells 20 apps out of 3,773 and Notion none at all. If the question is which marketplace actually operates as a shop, this is the answer.
On 2026-09-08 we paged the public Atlassian Marketplace API,
marketplace.atlassian.com/rest/2/addons?hosting=cloud&withVersion=true, 50 apps at a
time across 125 requests, and retrieved 6,202 of the 6,203 cloud apps it reports. Each record
carries a deployment object with a connect boolean, a
paymentModel, and a distribution object with totalInstalls.

a Forge flag. A cloud app is either Connect or Forge, so "not Connect" is read as Forge here. An app
