How much does an Atlassian Marketplace app cost for a 50 user team?

Measured 2026-09-07. n = 398 paid cloud apps with a published 50 user price.

The median Atlassian Marketplace cloud app costs US$45.83 per month for a 50 user team. Half of all paid apps fall between $29.17 and $78.86 per month. Only 2 percent charge more than $200 per month, and 76 percent are free for teams of 10 or fewer. Measured across the 400 most installed paid cloud apps in September 2026.

Atlassian publishes a price for every cloud app, but only one tier at a time and only on the app's own page, so there is no public view of what the market as a whole charges. We read the pricing page of the 400 most installed paid cloud apps and recorded the monthly list price at 50 users.

The distribution

PercentileMonthly price at 50 users

25thUS$29.17
50th (median)US$45.83
75thUS$78.86
90thUS$125.00
95thUS$158.33

Mean US$62.30. Lowest US$2.08, highest US$550.00. The mean sits well above the median because a small number of expensive apps pull it up, which is why the median is the number to quote.

Two thirds of paid apps land between $25 and $100 a month. That band is the market.

Free below ten users

304 of 400 apps, or 76 percent, charge nothing at the 10 user tier. A team of ten can therefore run a stack of paid apps at no cost, and the bill appears only as the team grows. Anyone pricing a new app should assume a free small tier is expected rather than generous.

How this was measured

On 2026-09-07 we listed every cloud app on the Atlassian Marketplace (6,197 apps), took the 400 most installed apps that have a paid tier, and read each one's cloud pricing page. The figure recorded is the monthly list price for 50 users, in US dollars, before any discount, tax or annual commitment. Two of the 400 did not publish a 50 user price and are excluded, leaving n = 398.

Prices come from Atlassian's own pricing endpoint for each app key, not from a third party aggregator, and were collected in a single pass on one day.
