Across 99 Shopify apps measured in September 2026, the cheapest paid plan has a median price of US$11 per month and the most expensive plan a median of US$49.45, with a maximum of $479. 93 percent offer a free plan. The bill rises with a number that grows as the store grows: shipments or tracking events in 68 of 99 apps, seats in 37, translated words in 29 and catalogue size in 21.
Shopify shows an app's plans on its listing, but nobody publishes what the market as a whole charges or, more usefully, what the price is attached to. The second question matters more than the first: an app priced per store has a fixed ceiling, and an app priced against something that grows with the store does not.

Shipments and tracking events lead by a wide margin. The pattern behind the top of that list is consistent: the quantities that appear most often are the ones that rise on their own as a store sells more, so the app's revenue grows with the customer without a renegotiation. Quantities that are fixed per store, such as the number of widgets installed, are rare and cap the app at whatever the flat fee is.
On 2026-09-07 we read the App Store listing and pricing block of 99 Shopify apps drawn from the categories where a store's own data is edited or exported in bulk. For each app we recorded every published plan price, the rating, the review count, and the words each plan limit is written against, then grouped those words into the twelve quantities above.
21 of the 99 publish no paid price, either because they are free or because pricing is quoted on request, so the price figures are computed over the remaining 78.
