Measured in September 2026 across 51 categories and 384 apps, the median top tier price runs from US$118 per month in advertising and SEO and $100 in dropshipping down to $10 in search and $4 in music. Demand and price move independently: the busiest categories are not the expensive ones.
Reviews in the last 90 days stand in for demand, since Wix does not publish installs. The price column is the median of each app's most expensive plan within that category.

Reviews and ratings is one of the busiest categories at 488 reviews in 90 days, and its median top tier is $20. Advertising and SEO has less than half the activity at 224 and a median top tier almost six times higher. Choosing a busy category and choosing a well paid one are two different decisions, and a count of reviews will not tell you which you have made.
To reach US$3,600 a month at the median top tier of each category, an app would need paying sites roughly as follows: 31 in advertising and SEO, 36 in engagement, 50 in chat, 164 in charts and tables, 360 in search. The ordering is reliable. The absolute numbers are not, for the reason in the limits below.
On 2026-09-07 we listed all 51 categories of the Wix App Market and every app in them, 384 apps in total, and read each app's full review history through the Wix review query endpoint rather than the five reviews shown on a listing page. For the 99 leading apps we additionally read every published plan and its price. Figures were pulled twice by two separate routes, signed in and signed out, and agreed.
