sellerkit measured data

How many Zaps use a typical Zapier integration?

Measured 2026-09-08. n = 10,092, the entire public directory.

Three. Half of the 10,092 integrations in Zapier's directory are used in 3 or fewer Zaps, and 583 are used in none. Nine integrations account for over 100,000 Zaps each, and the ten largest hold 41 percent of all usage between them. Only 85 integrations, 0.8 percent, require a paid Zapier plan. Measured September 2026 across the full directory.

Zapier publishes, for every integration, the number of Zaps built on it. That is a usage figure rather than an install count, and no other marketplace in this collection offers one. It is also never summarised, so the shape of the directory is not public.

The median integration is used in three Zaps. The mean is 386.7, which is 129 times the median, and that gap is the whole story of this directory.

Where the usage actually is

GroupShare of all Zap usage
The 10 largest integrations41.1%
The top 1 percent, 101 integrations83.4%
The top 10 percent, 1,009 integrations97.6%
The remaining 9,083 integrations2.4%

Across 3.9 million Zaps, nine thousand integrations share two and a half percent. Being listed in a directory of ten thousand is not distribution.

The paid gate is narrow and sits at the top

Zapier marks some integrations premium, meaning a customer needs a paid Zapier plan to use them. Only 85 of 10,092 carry that mark, and they are the heavily used ones: a median of 185 Zaps against 3 for the rest. The premium list is where Zapier's own revenue is, and it reads like a list of systems companies already pay for, such as Salesforce, Shopify and QuickBooks.

Age and maintenance

Oldest integration5,434 (about 15 years)

90th percentile days since update770

1,410 integrations, 14.0 percent, have gone over a year without an update, and 826 over three years. That is far healthier than the WordPress directory at 54.8 percent, partly because Zapier itself maintains many of them.

How this was measured

On 2026-09-08 we read Zapier's public directory API at zapier.com/api/v4/apps/ in pages of 250, 41 requests in total, and retrieved all 10,092 public integrations the API reports. Every figure is a field Zapier publishes for each integration: zap_usage_count, is_premium, age_in_days and days_since_last_update. This is a complete census, not a sample.
