Privacy Policy

Markdown Editor for Jira · sellerkit · Version 1.0, effective 17 August 2026

This policy explains what happens to personal data in connection with the Markdown Editor for Jira app for Atlassian Jira (the “App”), published by sellerkit.

1. We run no servers and receive no data

The App is a Forge app: it runs on Atlassian’s own infrastructure, inside your Atlassian site. It has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and it sends no data to us or to any third party. We operate no server that your Jira data could reach. We cannot see your issues.

2. What the App touches inside your site

When you open the panel, the App reads the description of the issue you are viewing and shows it as Markdown. When you press Save, it writes your edited text back to that same issue. Both actions use the Jira REST API with your own account’s permissions, so the App can never reach anything you could not already open yourself. Nothing is stored outside Jira and nothing is retained after the page closes.

3. Licensing and purchases

The App is distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace. Payment, invoicing, and licence issuing are handled by Atlassian as the seller of record — we never see your card details. Where the App is paid, licence validity is checked by Atlassian, not by us.

As the vendor, we receive from Atlassian the sales records they make available to Marketplace Partners, which may include the licensee organisation, a contact email, country, and purchase details. We use them only to fulfil the sale, meet tax and accounting obligations, and answer support requests. See Atlassian’s privacy policy for what they collect.

4. If you contact us

If you email us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to keep a record of support history.

5. Retention

Sales and tax records are kept for the period required by applicable law. Support correspondence is kept no longer than needed for the purposes above.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. It is disclosed only where required by law, or to Atlassian as part of operating the sale.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to its processing. Write to us and we will act on it. For data held by Atlassian as the seller, contact Atlassian directly.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this address with a new effective date.
